Today I submitted all formats of my new book, A Soul Damns The Soul, An Isolation Rd. Novella. Its been a fun trip working on this one. I wrote it with no clear objective or direction. I feel it showcases my full growth as a writer over the dry spell (not publishing anything in the last ten years). I truly feel this is the start of my next phase of writing. I have a lot of great things I've been working on. My first set of books lead up to my ten year publishing drought - this was my early writing. All books and stories I am very proud of, but show my earlier naivety in writing.
To quote two responses on showing people my PROOF copy of A Soul Damns The Soul. The first was "its a really real book." The second was stated after he read the first few lines of the first chapter. He looked at me with wide eyes, as in shock, and commented, "oh you can actually write." Now I take these as compliments masked in a semi-insulting fashion, but I love to show people up with what I am truly good at.
In short (TOO LATE!!), I am excited for those of you who have been with me since the beginning to read my improved abilities.
