Well. Here we are again, the spooky season is in full gore display. Hope you all are taking in the season's movies (whither scary or comedic, as long as its campy!). I myself tend to wade in between the pair. This is by far my favorite holiday. Setting aside the horror and gore for a minute. To me it's a holiday to think on those who you've loved and lost from years past. My grandmother, Marcelline, she was buried on Halloween. Many people at the time gave my mother grief over that decision. We could not understand why, because it was also her favorite holiday too. She loved seeing all the young boys and girls dressed up in their costumes trick r treating. I mean REAL trick r treating not this trunk r treat cheat. I mean those Halloweens where you, as a child, walked miles upon miles hoping this year to be the year you fill the 30-gallon trash bag with enough candy to hopefully sustain you until Christmas (though there never seemed to be enough no matter the size of the trash bag).
